Delete your account
You can request permanent deletion of your Steply account and the personal data associated with it. This page explains what happens, and lets you start the process.
For security, we confirm every deletion request by email before anything is deleted — this makes sure only you can delete your own account, even if someone else knows your email address.
What gets deleted
- Your account (name, email, and password/sign-in information)
- Your walking goals and daily activity history (steps, distance, calories)
- Your generated and saved routes
- Your challenge participation and progress, and unlocked achievements
- Your app settings and notification preferences
- Your active sessions — you'll be signed out on every device
What we may retain
- We don't currently have a defined retention schedule for backups or legal/security records beyond what's described on this page — if you need specifics for a particular request, contact us at support@steply.app and we'll confirm what applies.
